I'm Mike, I'm in charge of the Spirit Solar Devon branch. I've been installing solar panels for many years, and I know how concerned people are that a good quality job is done.

To claim the Feed in Tariff or the Renewable Heat Incentive, you just need to ensure your panels are installed by an MCS accredited installer.

However, to get the best out of your solar panels and to ensure that your installation is safe, structually sound, and performs for 25 years, you also need to make sure that your installer is an expert in solar pv installations.

There are many MCS accredited solar installers, from double glazing salesmen gone solar to electricians doing a bit of solar on the side. We are neither of these - we are specialists in solar pv and we make sure we offer a high quality service from start to finish.

Our friendly staff are all technically oriented, trained to have a high level of knowledge about panels, inverters and solar PV in general. We are very careful about everything we do: we use experienced in-house installers who work tidily and efficiently. We do not use subcontractors.

Our installation team have carried out hundreds of solar installations over many years. We will assess all of the issues relevant to your house - shading, wind loads, electrics and structural considerations (we work closely with structural engineers), and we will choose the components - inverters, panels, mounting system - which work best for your situation.
